FIRE LECTURE

Following along from past successful Fire
Lectures, the Worshipful Company of Firefighters
are proud to bring you the Fire Lecture 2014.
The lecture will examine experiences of fires in
high-rise buildings and the level of preparedness
in the UK to deal with such incidents, followed
by an open forum.
The Fire Lecture will be held on 28th May at the
Insurance Hall, 6-30 to 9pm.
The presentations will be made by Jones Yeung,
FSMSM FIFireE (Assistant Director HK Island in
the Hong Kong Fire Service) and Ron Dobson
CBE QFSM FIFireE (Commissioner of the
London Fire Brigade).
Further details are provided inside.
Before long, members will hear two new voices
in the Clerk's office. From 1st. July, Steven
Tamcken and Stephen Sanders will be starting
their duties as the Clerk (full time) and Assistant
Clerk (part time).respectively. There will be an
overlap period with Sir Martin Bonham and
Michael Leaver who both officially retire on 31st.
August. Hopefully, this arrangement will
ensure there is continuity of service to members.
