Buxton Fire and Rescue Centre

On a recent visit to Buxton our roving reporter David Holt called in at Buxton Fire Station to leave a copy of Salamander and to ensure that the firefighters were aware of the work of the Company and our Charitable Trust.

The station is crewed by full-time firefighters and a retained crew. It has two pumps and an impressive range of specials. These include and aging but much-loved ALP, a Water Carrier and a Water Rescue Unit.

Photography was going well until the Water Ladder got a shout, but many thanks to the crew for their friendly welcome.
