Hosted by the Worshipful Company of Poulters the event draws a large crowd to Guildhall Yard to watch City Companies compete, wearing full regalia and customised aprons. Alas, the day was bitterly cold and wet so, with treacherous conditions underfoot, Health and Safety kicked in, limiting the “races” to teams tossing pancake for 60 seconds. Scores were only recorded if the pancake left the frying pan and turned, before being caught in the pan. No mean feat in the cold and windy conditions.

Although none of them reached the finals they represented our Company magnificently, despite the inclement weather.
