The Worshipful Company of Firefighters Awards
The Worshipful Company of Firefighters Awards, made in conjunction with CFOA, were awarded to UK-ISAR teams that responded to the emergency in Japan and to the emergency in Christchurch New Zealand.
CFO Roy Wilsher accepted the award on behalf of the team he led to Japan and Station Manager Mark Coleman accepted the award on behalf of the New Zealand team.
The awards recognised the courage, initiative and professionalism that such teams put to humanitarian actions on behalf of the world-wide community, their presence being so important for the morale of local residents and fire fighters suffering devastation.
