Annual Fire Industry Charity Ball
FANTASTIC! A truly fantastic night was enjoyed by the 198 guests at our annual Fire Industry Charity Ball.
Despite recession blues affecting much of the corporate sector,
we are indebted to our loyal sponsors who once again gave us such great support. Thanks also to those who donated some great auction and raffle prizes and those who generously bid for the items.
The financial outcome has ensured a donation of £15,500 will be received by our Charitable Trust.
Bryan Spearman, our Underwarden-in-waiting and Ball organiser, succeeded in surprising everyone by introducing 33 young members of the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts who entertained us with a musical extravaganza. It was a great experience for the youngsters, and their producer and director have already asked if they might perform for us at a future event.
Adiva, the new name for ‘X factor’ Nicole, and the Big Man’s Band gave a sparkling performance and ensured a real swing to the evening.
