Golf Day
Wildernesse Golf Club Friday 5th September 2014
The annual outing with the Painter Stainers, now also involving the World Traders and Plumbers and other Livery Societies was held once again at Wildernesse Golf Club on Friday 5th September. Those who have played before know that the Wildernesse is a very welcoming club with a superb course, which, next year, will again be an Open Championship pre-qualifying course. Report on who was the WCoFF golfer of the year will be in our next issue.
St Florian’s Dinner
The Banquet is being held this year at Trinity House, Trinity Square, Tower Hill, on Wednesday 8th October 2014. Trinity House is one of the most attractive and historical venues in the City.
Our principal guest and speaker this year will be Commander Graham Hockley, Secretary to The Corporation of Trinity House. Graham started his career in the Royal Navy where he served from 1973 to 2001 as an Engineer Officer. He has served in a variety of ships ranging from Frigates and Destroyers to Aircraft Carriers and the Royal Yacht. While ashore he worked in training establishments, the Engineering Head Quarters in Bath and the Ministry of Defence.
