The Worshipful Company of Firefighters Charitable Trust, a charitable incorportated organisation, a registered charity in England and Wales (number 1182241) whose principal office is at Coopers' Hall, 13 Devonshire Square, London, EC2M 4TH

Notes for Applicants:

  1. Applicants must complete all of the Sections on the Grant Application Form fully applicable to their individual application; otherwise, the application is unlikely to proceed. All attachments and/or photographs must be attached with the submitted electronic application in a compressed file format (zip).
  2. The Trustee Board will require in assessing applications what outcome objectives are anticipated by the application and how this will be measured.
  3. Applicants must indicate where their application covers a number of financial years or where the phased release of Grant Award finance is applicable for longer-term projects in the application.
  4. Late submissions beyond the deadline dates will not be considered at the forthcoming Trustee Board Meeting and will be held over until a later meeting.
  5. Each successful grant offer will be subject to acceptance by the recipients of the contractual conditions set by the Trustee Board and will be open only for a period of three months from the date of the Grant Award Letter.
  6. Grant Applications will be acknowledged upon submission and a decision notified to the applicant with three weeks of the Trustee Board decision

The Charitable Trust are giving priority to the following generic groups of applications, please choose the one that applies to your application:

1 Young People, Leadership, Development and Responsibility:
Schemes that are led, managed and promoted predominantly for young people associated with or linked to Fire and Rescue Services, Cadet Schemes for the future of better citizenship communities/cohesion and leadership. Also included are schemes that involve the rehabilitation of Young Persons involved in serious Fire and Rescue situations.
2 Education and Research Projects
Education or Research Projects with recognised Educational/Professional/Technical attainment through qualified bodies/organisations associated with aspects of Fire and Rescue, Disaster Management, Fire Safety, Fire and Risk Industry
3 Fire and Rescue Heritage
Fire and Rescue Heritage and Memorial Initiatives that add to the preservation of significant artefacts, promote the history of the Fire and Rescue Service and recognise the ultimate sacrifice of members of the Fire and Rescue Service through National Memorials.
4 National Charities Associated Fire and Rescue and the Fire Industry
National Charities with one-off bespoke projects related to the Well Being of Fire and Rescue Service/Fire industry Personnel or in the unlikely event of exceptional circumstances a Grant Contribution towards the Well-Being of serving Fire and Rescue Service Personnel, not covered by Statutory Employer Duties.
5 Lord Mayor's, Livery Company and City of London Charities
Contributions as approved by the Trust Board towards The Lord Mayor’s, other Livery Companies and City of London Charity Appeals.
6 Blue Light and other Emergency Response Services
That provide cover mainly, but not exclusively in the City of London.
