First day for new Chief Fire Officer, West Sussex FRS

The Worshipful Company of Firefighters congratulates Dr Sabrina Cohen-Hatton on her appointment as Chief Fire Officer of WSFRS.

Dr Cohen-Hatton has 18 years’ experience in fire and rescue services, having started her career as a firefighter with the South Wales Fire & Rescue Service. She has served as Deputy Assistant Commissioner in the London Fire Brigade and during her career has been seconded to roles in HM Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services and at the National Fire Chiefs Council. Dr Cohen-Hatton holds a doctorate in behavioural neuroscience, research based on critical decision making related to the fire ground.
